Hi, friend! I’m Casey.
I’m a daughter of God, runner, cat person, chronic overthinker, lover of music, and firm believer that humor is sometimes the best survival skill. It is a gift and a curse.
When I’m not working or training for a marathon, I love slowing things down. Give me a good book to read while strolling around the halls of the office during my lunch breaks, a crochet project, or some good music, and I’m pretty content.
My faith is the foundation of my life. I feel like I am making it up as I go most of the time, and you’ll probably notice pretty quickly that I’m comfortable asking God my honest questions, laughing at myself, and admitting when I don’t know something. But you can be certain that I will do my research to gain a better understanding.
Chronic pain has been part of my life for many years. 2028 will be my 20th year of learning to suffer well. As I wrote that, it was a big pill to swallow. It’s part of the journey that eventually led me here, but it isn’t the whole story. If you want to know more about the heart behind A Sparrow’s Selah and why this cozy little nook of the internet exists, you can read Invitation to Pause.
So, who am I?
I’m just Casey.
Still learning. Still running. Still stopping to stroll. Still laughing. Still following and worshiping my Jesus.
And I’m glad you’re here!
